Kurt Parfitt is a retired U of M Creative Director and novice motorcycle enthusiast. He has created designs for gift paper firms, game companies and local musicians. His experience as a sports photographer, educational videographer, trade show exhibit designer/fabricator and retail display artist helps round out his résumé.

Kurt is proud to have served on the board of AIGA/Detroit as Treasurer and Vice President in charge of New Technology. He has a degree in Commercial Art & Graphic Design from Central Michigan University.

Kurt's hobbies include: photography, illustration, fine art, bicycling, kayaking, snowboarding and yes, he is working on a couple motorcycle designs too.

Ted Huff has had over 23 years of experience in the medical art field, earning an M.F.A. from the University of Michigan School of Medical and Biological Illustration in 1987. He has gained extensive knowledge of dissection and human anatomy from spending many hours in the O.R. viewing surgical procedures.

Ted has contracted out his services to many of the leading publishers and companies, such as Lippincot Williams & Wilkins, Elsevier, W. B. Saunders, Churchill Livingstone, Mosby, Jones and Bartlet, Linvatec, Concept, Medtronic Sofamor Danek, and Johnson & Johnsons. He also continues to provide services to doctors, nurses and other professionals in the greater Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Detroit area.

Beth Balogh is an award winning designer, artist and an organizational freak. She has over 27-years of professional creative experience.

Beth adds to the NwCS group's offerings by providing expertise with package design, photo-styling, trade show exhibits, conference presentations, signage, point of purchase displays, interior staging and commemorative birthday, anniversary and memorial DVD presentations. She also has developed retail window displays and has designed and sewn custom plush toy prototypes.

Her personal interests include: photography, painting, bicycling, skiing, dog training and volunteering at the Humane Society of Huron Valley.

Beth graduated with honors from the University of Michigan School of Art.

Matt Quirk has worked in the graphic arts field for over fifteen years, with an emphasis on design and new media technology. He also has experience with writing, game design, music, and audio and video editing. He is a former radio broadcaster, a self-published print and web cartoonist and is part of the creative team behind the Smithee Awards.

In addition to his creative interests, Matt is an avid amateur chef and home vintner.

Matt has degrees in English and Communications from the University of Michigan.
